FAQ

Why convert WebP to PNG?
PNG has broader software support, especially in older design tools and applications that do not yet accept WebP. PNG is also lossless, making it ideal for editing workflows.
Will the PNG be larger than the WebP?
Usually yes. WebP achieves excellent compression. Converting to PNG switches to lossless storage, which typically results in a larger file.
Is transparency preserved?
Yes. If the WebP file contains transparency (alpha channel), it will be preserved in the PNG output since PNG also supports full alpha transparency.

The WebP to PNG converter loads a WebP file into an HTML Image element, draws it onto a canvas, and exports the result as a lossless PNG via canvas.toBlob. The tool displays the original WebP size and the resulting PNG size for comparison. Useful when you need a widely-compatible lossless format from a WebP source.
