FAQ

How are words counted?
Words are counted by splitting the text on whitespace (spaces, tabs, newlines) and counting non-empty segments. Hyphenated words count as one word.
Does it count characters with or without spaces?
Both. The tool shows total characters including spaces and a separate count excluding spaces.
How are sentences counted?
Sentences are detected by counting period (.), exclamation (!), and question mark (?) endings, excluding common abbreviations.

The Word Counter analyzes your text in real time, showing word count, character count (with and without spaces), sentence count, line count, and paragraph count. Useful for checking content length requirements, writing within limits, and analyzing text structure.
