FAQ

What does the generated image look like?
The image is a solid-colored rectangle with the pixel dimensions printed as "WxH" centered in the chosen text color — similar to what placeholder.com or via.placeholder.com serves.
Is there a size limit?
There is no enforced limit, but very large canvases (e.g. 10000×10000) may be slow to render or exceed browser memory. Typical UI placeholder sizes work fine.
Can I use the generated image in production?
The PNG is generated locally and is yours to use freely. Replace it with real imagery before shipping to production.

The Placeholder Image Generator creates a colored rectangle image with a centered "WxH" label — similar to placeholder.com. Specify width, height, background color, and text color. The image is rendered on a canvas and can be downloaded as PNG. Ideal for wireframing, mockups, and prototyping layouts without sourcing real images.
