FAQ

Why do different currencies have different decimal places?
Most currencies use 2 decimal places (cents). However, some currencies like the Japanese Yen (JPY) and South Korean Won (KRW) do not use subdivisions, so they use 0 decimal places. A few currencies like the Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) use 3 decimal places.
Why is the symbol sometimes after the amount?
Currency symbol position varies by locale and country. In the EU, the Euro symbol often appears after the amount in many countries (e.g., "100 €" in France vs "$100" in the US). This tool follows the conventional formatting for each currency.
Which currencies are supported?
USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, INR, BRL, KRW, CAD, AUD, CHF, HKD, SGD, SEK, NOK, DKK, NZD, MXN, ZAR, RUB, TRY, SAR, AED, PLN, THB, IDR, MYR, PHP, CZK, HUF, and ILS.
