FAQ

What sizes are generated?
The tool generates three standard favicon sizes: 16×16 (browser tab), 32×32 (taskbar/retina tabs), and 48×48 (Windows site icons). All are exported as PNG.
Can I generate an .ico file?
This tool exports individual PNGs per size. Modern browsers accept PNG favicons directly via the <link rel="icon"> tag. For .ico bundling you would need a dedicated .ico assembler.
What source image works best?
A square image with simple, high-contrast artwork works best at small sizes. Complex photos tend to become unrecognisable at 16×16.

The Image to Favicon converter takes any uploaded image and generates PNG versions at the three standard favicon sizes: 16×16, 32×32, and 48×48 pixels. Each size is rendered using the Canvas API and displayed as a preview. You can download each size individually as a PNG. Ideal for generating browser tab icons for web projects.
