FAQ
- Which browsers support AVIF?
- AVIF decoding is supported in Chrome 85+, Firefox 93+, and Safari 16+. If the image fails to load, update your browser or try Chrome.
- What quality setting should I use?
- A quality of 80–90 gives excellent visual results with significantly smaller file sizes compared to 100. Values below 60 can introduce noticeable JPEG artefacts.
- Does JPEG support transparency?
- No. JPEG does not support an alpha channel. Any transparent areas in the AVIF source will be rendered on a white background in the output JPEG.
The AVIF to JPEG converter decodes an AVIF file using the browser's native image support and re-encodes it as a JPEG at your chosen quality level. A quality slider lets you balance file size against visual fidelity. Supported in Chrome 85+, Firefox 93+, and Safari 16+. No data is sent to a server.
