FAQ

Which browsers support AVIF?
AVIF decoding is supported in Chrome 85+, Firefox 93+, and Safari 16+. If the image fails to load, update your browser or try Chrome.
What quality setting should I use?
A quality of 80–90 gives excellent visual results with significantly smaller file sizes compared to 100. Values below 60 can introduce noticeable JPEG artefacts.
Does JPEG support transparency?
No. JPEG does not support an alpha channel. Any transparent areas in the AVIF source will be rendered on a white background in the output JPEG.

The AVIF to JPEG converter decodes an AVIF file using the browser's native image support and re-encodes it as a JPEG at your chosen quality level. A quality slider lets you balance file size against visual fidelity. Supported in Chrome 85+, Firefox 93+, and Safari 16+. No data is sent to a server.
